ABOUT LATOSHA

Latosha (Kessell) Thomas is a licensed professional counselor, yoga teacher, master reiki practitioner/trainer, and advocate for peace and wellness. She has successful experience in treating adults and facilitating group therapies, classes, and workshops. Latosha strives to meet clients exactly where they are by fostering a therapeutic alliance and creating a safe space for healing. She is known by many clients and colleagues as a "calm, warm, accepting, and relatable presence". A long-time student of mindfulness and the holistic/mind-body approach, she blends her training and expertise to address clients as a WHOLE person.

Through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, meditation, yoga, and energy healing modalities she empowers clients to get clear about what's important and consistently make moves in the direction of what is important no matter what. Greater clarity, self-confidence, and balance helps clients reconnect with the True Self (core) and their values to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life, even in the face of life's many transitions.

Latosha's mission is to help others to break free from the internal noise that often throws us out of alignment "energetically" and hinders success, love, "being", peace, and wellness. She truly believes that at the core of all beings lies the peace, balance, and wellness we all desire, we just sometimes need help to access it.

Previously, Latosha worked with active-duty service members, military veterans, their families, underprivileged and underserved adults and children.  Interventions included specialized, evidence-based treatment for combat and deployment stress, sexual assault, physical or psychological trauma, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, grief, and secondary trauma. Additionally, as a research therapist, Latosha delivered ACT interventions across many studies, serving military veteran and HIV communities.
